Spanish foods

I’m going to introduce four Spanish foods.  The first food is small portions of food.  The Spanish name is unas tapas.  We can eat these in a bar.  The idea is eat small dishes of tapas, such as sausage, while drinking beer or wine.  The second food is a Spanish omelette.  The Spanish name is la tortilla.  This is not like a thin French omelette, rather it is thick and made with potatoes and onion.  It’s served in slices or cubes like a cake.  The third food is bread with tomato.  The Spanish name is el pan con tomate.  Take a piece of bread, rub half a tomato on it and drizzle over some olive oil.  Sometimes people rub garlic on the bread too.  It’s very delicious.  The fourth food is a typical Spanish rice, named la paella.  Traditionally from Valencia, paella valenciana contains rice colored yellow with saffron, meat, snails and green vegetables.  Paella is often served as a main dish because of its wonderful seafood and spices.  Spanish food is varied and very delicious.
